Culinary Art in the Afternoon

Middle Schoolers Grades 6th-8th Only

Do you have a middle schooler who dreams of making their own mac and cheese, crispy french fries, hand-rolled sushi, or the perfect homemade pizza?

Each week, students will learn essential cooking skills while exploring fun, kid-approved recipes in a real high school kitchen classroom at Bishop DuBourg High School. With guidance from the culinary teacher and access to professional equipment, students will gain the confidence they need in the kitchen, learn about nutrition, kitchen safety, cleaning and best of all, enjoy what they cook!

In this class, you will learn kitchen safety, cooking terms, how to measure ingredients, work as a team, follow recipes, build confidence, and make your own dishes in the kitchen!
